“First, the term ‘illegal alien’ is personally offensive.” Why is this offensive? It is what it is...if they snuck into the country then they are illegals...no two ways about it. And how can there be a problem by removing these same illegals from a country that they are not supposed to be in? Unbelievable!

Col no different than calling someone a Radical Islamic Terrorist right before you shoot him. You really should not offend people like that.

They need to do the job and stop complaining.
First, you are not an immigrant if you are undocumented. If you are undocumented, you are in the country illegally.
This sheriff has an agenda and needs to be put out of office if he can't comply with the actual law.
People that are in this country illegally are foreign, enemy, combatants in my book and should be dealt with in the harshest terms possible.

Filling out the paperwork and whamo your legal. No Country should be looked down upon for wanting to verify people.

You'd think when it comes to immigration federal law should prevail and state officials would be bound to comply if/when it's a lawful order.

Yes I think even in the strictest definition of federalism laws that control people from another country are not best dictated by the state much less a county in central Texas. Now education, healthcare, aid to the needy all could arguably be at the sole direction of the states.
