Hey Turn signals have only been required since 1958. Lets not rush into things here.

Right, how insensitive to expect courtesy, Ok we will revisit this in 2033. 75 years is even long enough for congress to make a good decision.

Before turn signals (originally only an option on "fancy" cars) there were hand and arm signals by the driver. It got to be a chore to roll down your window in cold weather to signal for a turn. No problem in hot weather --- nobody but the rich had air-conditioned cars.

CW3 Harvey K. Yes, and how to do hand-signals was taught in Driver's Ed when I was in school.

Amazing how far technology has come... there is a small skinny peddle on the floor of cars too, even Prius, if you apply pressure with your right foot something amazing happens, the car will go faster. Isnt that amazing.

That's why I don't go south for the winter. I deal with those folks the other 8 months of the year.

PO3 Steven Sherrill It gets worse during snowbird season, but it's year-round in my part of Florida, because so many former snowbirds have retired in this area.
