This serves as the perfect example of why we are so far apart as a country. Our elected officials are acting like children. Not just the Democrats but Republicans too. It seems since January 20th, the government has been more involved in seeing who can spit the furthest rather than getting down to work and doing what is best for this country.

I agree I wish they could come up with at least a limited agenda that they all can agree on and come together as Americans first. I was impressed by his speech but disappointed in the reaction.

LCDR (Join to see) - I think Trump did well with this speech. I think we have seen for the first time, a move from extreme ideas to a better understanding of how to get his message across without sounding crazy. I'm happy to see reactions across several news sites as positive towards the speech. I was honestly expecting to wake up and see more and more posts from either side only pointing out their flaws and not how to move forward.
