thanks for the post. I didn't know that and recently had all of my financial accounts accessed by someone posing as me... Sad to say that USAA was not really quick on the draw there. I'll shred mine from now on because I'm not savvy enough to use my phone.

With some carriers (Delta is one) you can use their app for an electronic boarding pass that remains on your phone if it is a concern. I have been flying on Delta for over 20 years, 100,000 miles a year and have never had an issue with something happening with a boarding pass.
