I started watching The Great War last night and highly recommend it for a historical perspective on the nature of war and what seemed to happened during that historical time. It puts the present into a different perspective.

Greay story, I remember from US History that the Treaty of Versailles was indirectly responsible for WWII. The issues of Nationalism, Imperialism and Militarism were rhe sticks of dynamite that set the stage for war, however the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was the fuse that lit it up.
