Greywolf cases colors for 9-month deployment

SFC George Smith Its a tradition that started at some point in my career Id guess, or at least i don't remember my first combat deployment to Panama where we cases colors, of course we were wheels up from notice to flight line in about 20 hours..so perhaps it was down bay a smaller group ceremony while we were on our way to the flight line???

But the many deployments I watched or the three I went on after that out of Fort hood, Units cased colors a few days/weeks before deploying and then uncased in country at the base the unit HQ would be at.
