An improved economy. An improved stock and housing market. An improved job and unemployment rate. It wasn't perfect but it sure as hell wasn't a mess.

MAJ James Woods - The DOW rises and falls with the level of confidence in the future. If you think the rising DOW after Trump's election was due to anything Obama did, then I'd be interested in hearing your rationale. But I think the fact that the DOW is closing at record highs now is a strong indication that the strong DOW when Trump was President-Elect was more about Trump than it was about Obama.
Obama's approval ratings are meaningless for two reasons -- he isn't President anymore, and his personal approval ratings never translated to other Democrats, who lost about 1000 seats nationwide during Obama's Presidency, including losing the House and Senate. It certainly reveals the weakness in your argument if you are appealing to Obama's personal approval rating as any kind of indication about what is going to happen in future elections.
The other liberal clap-trap in your post just serves to demonstrate my point. You keep on believing that if you want to, but the longer you'd prefer to believe that rather than re-assess what happened and learn where you failed in the last election, the more likely it is that Trump will serve 8 years as President.

SSgt Christopher Brose - Folks like you are so stuck in denial as you continue to ignore facta and common sense even when someone slaps your face with it. Oh well. At least ignorance isn't DNA.

What would he have called the situation Obama inherited?
There is still a lot of room for improvement, so I am sort of happy he understands that there is still a lot of work that most be done to shore up the economy and make it work for the average American.

All I can say is Trump wanted the job and now he has it . Do your job and stop your whining. If it needs fixing then fix it . Let us see how a fine tuned machine works under his administration. Stop the name calling , stop the blaming and just do your job . Remember the buck stops with you .

This will all work if he has some cooperation too. Certainly right now you have to admit the Democrats and even some Republicans are doing everything they can to make him fail.

SFC Jim Ruether - Perhasp becasue much of what he wants to do i are things that they think are at the least wrong, evil or in some-cases bat-shit crazy. Should anyone work to aid in causes that they think of like that? They should work with whateverh he does that they think should be done and fight the things that they think are wrong tooth and nail, those TWO things are what we hire them to do.
