According to ancient Greek mythology, the gods sent a scorpion to kill Orion the Hunter for boasting he could kill anything. His hubris angered the gods. In modern times, stargazers throughout the world observe Orion as one of the most conspicuous constellations in the night sky, signing the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring. Nowadays, the conspicuousness of Orion wanes faux in space by the hubris of pollution and nighttime skyscapes of metropoleis.

I do this in my yard, there is only light if I turn it on....Laying on the lawn looking up is awesome with all the lights out...

The red giant in the upper left corner of Orion is Betelgeuse. If that red giant were in the center of our solar system, all the inner planets would be gone, and the edge of Betelgeuse would reach out to the orbit of Jupiter. It's big!
