LTG Hal Moore passed away

A great man has left us. Gen Hal Moore 7th Inf Div and subject of the Mel Gibson film 'We were soldiers' passed away in his sleep last night at 94. I had the great honor of meeting General Moore at Ft Ord, I know 94 seems pretty old but Gen Moore was not the avg guy. he was a soldiers soldier, typically the 1st in and the last out in a hot LZ. Gen Moore always took time to meet with and mentor his soldiers and his leadership, commitment to excellence and refusal to quit are qualities we will sorely miss.
