Many employers have switched to the "situation-based" questions such as, "tell me about a time when you faced a stressful situation and how you handled that situation..."

Yes, this was the only method we were allowed to use. Actually had a couple days of training on how to conduct these types of interviews. Excellent way to separate those who have done from those who can talk a good line.

Good information and something everyone looking for a job should be aware of. However from the interviewers perspective you need to beware of providing the "stock" answers to these questions. Once a hiring manager has a few interviews under his/her belt it becomes pretty obvious when someone becomes a talking head when asked these questions. As I posted in another response, the situation based interview is a better way to go and some of the questions listed can actually be worked into that type of interview.
