Isn't this interesting... it appears that federal agents are being ordered to fudge the numbers as part of a broader Obama administration effort to protect illegal immigrants and falsely portray the Mexican border as safe.

Everything government is hidden in plain sight. They use social media to let you know what they want you to hear. You just need to know where the real public news is, and you have to like to read...lol... factual statistics like these are found on Home Land Securities border patrol page. And it ends in .gov not .com.

I agree. Nice deceptive interpretation of the GAO report. Basically if the illegal immigrant was seen as unlikely to achieve successful federal prosecution, they shipped them back to their country; no illegals with criminal records were allowed to remain in the U.S, the GAO report was clear on that point. No where in that 59 page document does it conclude that CBP agents intentionally lowered classification of detained immigrants with the purpose of falsifying reports.
