Yes, I've seen it, and it has been brought up as an idea before. The good news is, they've tried before and it failed to pass. And, even if they pass it, it would be VERY unlikely they'd make it retroactive to existing retirees with disabilities. We seldom pass financial/tax/benefit laws that are retroactive.

Interesting use of the word Regine. Everyone wants vets left out in the cold. I don't think it will ever happen.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that. They took the benefits away from priority groups 6 and 7 to be seen by VA. They will most likely grandfather those of us that are grandfathered in but then the kids that come after won't get it. I am a triple dipper. I get disability retirement, va 100% and SSDI and my husband gets 30 year retirement pay and 90% VA disability.

I wouldnt call it the new regime. They're always trying to figure out ways to save future funds; as they probably should. I don't particularly see how if one legitimately retires after 20 years they can consider any disability pay they may be entitled to as fluff or warrant it as too much.
