Sounds like a case of power-hungry people in positions of authority -- part of the swamp that desperately needs to be drained. CBP needs a new HR department. They should have records of who administered those tests, and everyone who gave a failing grade on a test lasting more than 2 hours should be fired, along with everyone in management who supported that practice.

It would be interesting to see the findings of an investigation but I'm sure they will spin it somehow to save face. Maybe they need to find a different source for the polygraphs.

I am wondering if I would have to take one as well. The article stated that waivers can be granted for those who have an active TS clearance. Mine is still good for a couple more years. After reading this article I think that would be a reason I would consider them. Not that I have anything to hide since I have taken a poly for a different LE Agency and passed just fine.

You have to give it a try. There are always explanations. Discouragements are the worst tools for not accomplishing goals. There are more than handfuls of military being hired by CBP. I came in at a time where we took a long questionnaire, there was no Polygraph. Call OPM, get the facts from the source.
