LTC Greg Henning wow there is a lot going on here. Think you could argue for or against almost every issue raised. I think what will ultimately hurt his legacy is his support for some that he should have shied away from- and his ignorance on other fronts. Not choosing to stand behind law enforcement would be one such example. When authority is undermined- everything else crumbles. Again a lot of stuff going on n 3+ minutes here.

Maj Marty Hogan It has been an interesting 8 years. Sometimes we need 20 years to see the effect of a president.

In my view he tried to be fair but ever since he was a Community Organizer he hated opposing viewpoints and compromise. You can read it between the lines in his own writing when he wrote about his time as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago. No compromise, his way or he would not invite you back for further meetings. This more than anything explains to me why he was not more popular in Chicago. Chicagoans respect people more that compromise, adapt and learn from others (New Yorkers same way). Also, explains why he was a disaster with the Republicans and even consulting with his own Party when he was President. Personal trait that held him back from real achievement.
