One item I will miss about President Obama and that was his nice suits. I also like the brand Hart, Schaffner and Marx (Chicago brand). Their suits and fabric are second to none and when wearing their suits it doesn't even feel like a suit that slides all over you, very nice tailored fit. If your about to interview there is no better suit to perform the interview in, in my opinion. Highly recommended and a endorsement of their line of suits.

It would be nice to wear expensive suits and not the stuff from the local discount store off the rack. What ever happened to the $100 3-piece suit ?

Not a good idea for a job interview unless your interviewing for floor sales for a retailer like Sears that is going out of business. Most employers can spot a cheap suit from a mile away from the fabric and the way it wears on you. It does have an impact in some cases if your selected for the next round in more than a few cases, so does your shoe shine. Wear unshined back leather shoes for a bank or financial interview......noticed right away and you will see the HR person glance down there. Having said that, just picked up two HSM suits for $600-700 each, thats still relatively cheap, IMV. Given that a really nice suit can run you $1200-2000.
