Hold up.... So let me see if I understand what this wind bag is crying about. Trump doesn't take crap from political media hacks, and refuses to pander to the political competition who threw more mud in this past election cycle than anyone, so that makes him anti-Democracy?

Want to know who is anti-democracy? That would be the people demanding that the election be thrown out and Trump not be allowed to take office. That Would be Obama kissing Cuba's communist ass along with China, the Middle East, and refusing to stand up to Russia as it tromped on all manner of smaller countries. Then you have Obama and his ilk doing everything they can to screw over if not destroy Israel. Ya real Democracy the Tories have their.

Trump is a Capitalist which is what America was founded on. To me Capitalism is Democracy in action, if I don't like it I don't buy it. I vote with my Money, this is why I don't go to Starbucks, or support hundreds of other organizations. Trump is not the villain and Obama was NOT the savior.

The professional foreign policy establishment has always resented amateurs intruding on their domain. The State Department has resisted change from virtually every President. I can well imagine them resenting Trump more than most inasmuch as he threatens to really upset their lives.

I have to admit, I couldn't make it through more than the first 3-4 paragraphs of this article. I am not sure where he has been living for the last 8 years, but I don't think it was the USA. Obama has done more to embolden our foreign adversaries through his apologies and complacence, his red line that really wasn't and his inability to make a decision and stay with it. How about giving in to Iran and paying billions, undoing the sanctions and allowing the Iranian dictatorship of the Ayatollah to further destabilize the Middle East. In this case I would say that Foreign Policy is much too important to be left up to the "professionals". They continue to fail us on an everyday basis. Hard to see how an amateur can fare much worse.
