New in 2017: Armored BCTs start new deployments to Europe

As Yogi said:"Dajavu all over again"! So we were there and then we were not and now we are there! This is still on Obama's watch and reflects the same disjointed approach his team has had with all of this pesky military "stuff". There was a time we did not have to force soldiers and their families into these never ending rounds of deployments -- we allowed the family's to join their warriors -- forward deployed -- for 3 years -- DUH! (Note: Most of the housing that the US military families used to occupy has gone to the never ending flow of refuges into Germany) I would also like to make one additional and very important point... Armored BCT means TANKS --- Heavy Metal so: 1. For those of you who think the M1 MBT is a "Legacy System" I strongly erg that you read your history of modern warfare and recognize that the tank is not obsolete on the modern battlefield and; 2. The US better get its collective head out of its collective a** and start a new tank development program ASAP! The Russians and the Chinese are turning out a new MBT or an upgrade to an MBT every 18 months! Clearly they do not believe the Main Battle Tank is obsolete. The lessons have not changed -- the best anti-tank weapon on the battlefield is another tank... not a Stryker a TANK.
