When the announcement was made that rating titles were being changed and the reason given for those changes, I said that it was the most idiotic thing they had ever done and that it probably would not last. I for one didn't think that it would turn around so fast but I am happy that it did. Granted, it should never have happened in the first place, but obviously the outcry was deafening. Like all these uniform changes, maybe the powers that be should consult with the persons that will be affected by these changes before going off half cocked.

Idiotic is the right word PO1 Johnson! I cant imagine something of so big a nature to be abolished with just an announcement a date and a fatal swipe of the pen. Imagine if you will being stationed on an AC carrier, people with common names like me, being called over the 1mc, PO1 Clark to the bridge. Well, which PO1 Clark of the 40 or 50 aboard. Well just all of you show up! Lol! Work stoppage in those departments, sorting out which Petty Officer you actually need, just pure time lossed, #NOTEFFECTIVEATALL!, nor professional either. I am glad they abolished this idea. Lesson learned from this, survey the deck plate sailors prior to making a decision which affects so many careers so permanently then decide. Off my soapbox now! Have a great Navy day! Lol!

Good to see, when the voices unite and become loud enough, then the leadership either listens or dies on their sword.
