This has been discussed on another thread. Many of these criminals were sentenced to inordinately long terms for minor changes as they are considered today. We pay lots of taxpayer dollars for the care and feeding of these inmates. Also the three stikes program has people incarcerated that should not be lifetime prison cells. I'm not one to support Obama, but this may not be all that bad. My only concern is if they were vetted by appropriate psychological reviews to somewhat consider recidivism..

Cpl Craig Marton - I suppose we will find out when the rate of recidivism is followed.

I'm all for having their cases reviewed and a determination made. However, Presidents usually go on the word of others. Overall, it is my opinion that Obama has extremely leftist advisors who don't quite do diligent investigations prior to making decisions.

SFC Dante Alanis - That is exactly what concerned me. Does anyone believe he actually got briefed and physically signed over 1100 pardons and commutations? If care was taken, I would still support the intent.

I'm not concerned about the "Many" as you mention. I'm concerned about the few that should stay but are being released but shouldn't. There are several of those.

Um, even counting the pardons on Monday he's still coming short of GWB's 176.
And queue up the "there's still time" comments... blah
