The guy was a pawn and he served his purpose in whatever scheme the administration was perpetrating. He'll be left hanging out to dry, hopefully from a gallows after his trial.

The scheme was to get five hard core Taliban members freed. Of course they signed a contract they wouldn't rejroin the Taliban fighters, which I'm sure they didn't, BS.
Getting Bergdhal back certainly wasn't a trophy for the swap. I thought it was hilarious the Taliban leader telling Bergdhal not to ever come back, while Bergdhal sat there squinting and rubbing his eyes, like he was kept underground.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - I'll bet the Court Marshall staff can't wait for this to be over.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth I'll never understand the Obama-Bergdhal relationship. It was weird then and it's still weird. He wasn't a hero. His parents enabled him to go ahead and leave his post. Yet there's a few pictures with Obama's arms wrapped around his dads and moms waist. He even kissed the mom. I,thought WTF is going on here. Now it looks like Obama is done with hm and is going to throw him to the wolves, which should have happened in 2014.
