1SG(P) (Join to see) Couldn't agree more. When someone says all that a black man is capable of doing is cooking and cleaning, he proved otherwise. On a day of tragedy, he shined as so many did in the heat of battle. It is sad that he was lost at sea before the end of the war.

1SG(P) (Join to see) - I have. It was an interesting quote, so I had to look it up. I learned something new, and awesome. I have seen movies about Special Operations, Delta Force, etc... always took it as something akin to this exists, but the Military will keep it secret. Now I have learned about the birth of Delta force. SO thank you for piquing my curiosity.

And he was denied the MOH, and the ship they named for him was a Knox class Frigate, not a top line ship like a cruiser or destroyer... I served on Miller's sister ship Capodanno in Newport so I know how limited these ships were...
