I do not see the cancellation happening. His cost of 4 bil is not accurate and the proposed order is for multiple planes

As I understand it, two. Further, adjusted for inflation, the cost should have been around $6-700M per copy, according to reports. This will happen, but probably at a reduced price. Has anyone heard of the Boeing Bank, sweet financial deal.

Kind of points out his inability to look down the road. Cost has nothing to do with the fact that the current aircraft are aging and will be unable to meet the needs of the president in 2022 when they are projected to come on line. Sorry, but you just don't go down to the neighborhood planes r us, pick a sharp looking model and plush it up like he did with his personal planes. Air Force One needs the communications to allow the president to communicate with anyone anywhere in the world at all times and have its own defensive capabilities for the safety of the president for starters. Those are all long lead time projects and there are probably many more that go along with building an Air Force One.
