Well, we have a Congress for a reason and most of the past initiatives should have gone through the Congressional compromise process except that one man did not want to compromise............so he turned to Executive orders. It is interesting because Lincoln faced the same type of hostile Congress but Lincoln invested the time with his initiatives and compromised and the Congress was far more reluctant to appeal President Lincolns work once he left office because it went through the Congressional compromise process.

So there was a lesson in history with Obama's alleged role model that he really never picked up on or learned. Hence we have a stack of Executive Orders which less than 50% of the country supports in a lot of cases.

More than a few Trump voters voted that way because of this campaign promise of his, and we will be royally pissed if he doesn't do it, and right quickly.

Interesting article. The Presidency, awesome position that it is, is not omnipotent. The awesome power that everyone thinks the office has, just isn't there. If if was, more stupid crap would happen.
