This is something being rolled out in a few other countries. Not sure if its to replace anyone, but I have not seen any decreases in staff at the counter

I hate to tell the libs, but I told them this would happen. The next step is a robot burger flipper and fry cook. So all the low skilled workers went from their current wage to no wage. Those unintended consequences will get you every time. They (libs) won't accept responsibility for it though, they'll still blame the companies.

There are not always better jobs available, sometimes an adult who want to work has to take a job at McDonald's, Walmart or Sears. $15 an hour is still crappy pay, it's just enough that they don't need to rely on the taxpayer nearly as much to help make ends meet.
As for McDonald's and their food machines, food vending machines have been around for a long time... I don't believe are going to cut it with most customers.
