While I'm not really a fan of more trucks on the highways, however I have to admit that a spill coming from a single truck is far easier to clean up that a pipeline that deposits millions of gallons into a river... especially when the oil is tar sands oil which sinks to the bottom of the river instead of floating along the surface.
We should be working to slowly reduce the amount of fossil fuels we are using which means current infrastructure should be more than adequate going forward.

But what is the proposed alternative for transportation of the Fuels...
more trucks on the highways...
more tanker cars on the rail roads...
more Fracking in the local areas and local pipe lines to transport the fuels...
use wood to heat out homes in the winter...
