Good for Connecticut Vets and the state government. I hope more states latch on to this idea and begin helping their Veterans with PTSD and bad discharges.
Connecticut is the first state with a formal partnership among state veterans agencies, a law school, and VSOs to help vets navigate the appeal process.
A first-of-its-kind program now in place in Connecticut will help veterans who have post-traumatic stress disorder appeal their “bad paper” discharges and connect them with people who can help them through that process.

Very interesting, appears to only catch those who originally resided in Connecticut. To late to help many from the pre-1980's era. Maybe all Service members should be screened before any discharge for PSTD, I would bet we have many, many undiagnosed Honorably discharged folks with PTSD and don't know it. This should be a National Level Program in my most humble opinion. Great job Connecticut! Semper Fi.

I agree with your opinion Gunny. Maybe we'll be able to get this problem out to the Veterans and the new admin will do something good for our vets, at last. It's very upsetting know they're being treated like this and nobody has stepped up to the plate but Connecticut.

Master Gunny Forward has a Good Point. I’d like to add that the contiguous State’s VSOs could work with VA to correct the
Bad paper -ptsd sit-rep plaguing the troops.. need to watch for troops trying to play the system and saying it must of been ptsd they didn’t know they had that caused them to f—-k up and do what they did.. there are always ‘players’ that might try to see how they can ‘game’ the system...
