BLUF: The actions of post-WWII U.S. laid the foundation for subsequent generations (both global and patriotic) to continually reap the benefits even to this day. Our next president is in a position to still take advantage of that.

The question is how. My opinion is that the article highlights vague reference points, thus it is necessary for a series of articles to expand on these historical points to elaborate on the reasoning. Otherwise, it's an interesting perspective to say that our next president is privileged and needs to take advantage of it.

Lastly, keep in mind that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security selected the RAND Corporation to operate the Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center, in early October, in which it will conduct technical and operational research and analysis for the department.
