I was at Ft Bragg when this came down. One of the Soldiers was a woman and a guy many of us "suspect" might be gay and they came out. Both of them were met with the same response: Silence, the "I knew it" revelatory outburst, and then yelling at them for not getting their work done. After a few days, nothing changed our opinion of those Soldiers and nobody cared.

The military is still the military, and all the fears from the fear monger have proven false.

well I know that there are a few homosexual airmen in my unit and no one cares. I really thought it would have been a harder transition based on attitudes in the early 2000s but it seems that most people just don't really care. I don't know, or am not aware of, any transgendered airmen in my unit though.
