ACA was designed to fail from the beginning. After the Supreme Court failed to save us from "Obamacare" we were on a pathway to socialized medicine. The entire ACA was a setup to get Americans ready for Socialized Medicine. When it failed, the Democrats would rush in with this great solution: single payer. The Government then would pay for the medical care for a segment of the population. Of course they will pay too much and do it as inefficiently as we would expect. Veterans and active duty service members know what Government run medicine looks like. With the Government paying for medical care for a part of the under-65 population, they will then extend that over time to larger and larger segments of the population. The insurance companies will see the oncoming problem and get out of the health insurance business forcing more and more people onto the single payer system. Employers will be encouraged to drop company-paid health care plans and let their employees go onto the single payer system; tax incentives should do the trick. In the end, some Democrat will recommend that the Government simply take over the medical facilities and services funding them directly and making medical care free to everybody in the US. It will sound so good, that the Congress will rush to pass it and the President will sign it. Then the Government will have almost complete control over the population. Anything they don't like, such as gun ownership, they will declare a health problem. They will be able to shape behavior by extending or withholding medical care. Own a gun? The Government health care system can pressure you to get rid of it. If you're injured with the gun, even accidently, they might refuse to take care of you. It will be health care with the compassion of the IRS, efficiency of the DoD, and regulation of the EPA. God help us!

Agreed. One point of disagreement. It's not the job of SCOTUS to protect us from our stupidity. If we disagree with the laws enacted, then we should stop electing the morons who pass them.

They'll blame the insurance companies then swoop in an nationalize them all creating the single payer they've been dreaming of.

I'm curious Cpl Sain, who do you think is to blame for insurance cost increases? They are pretty much GUARANTEED a profit. When State Farm lost money on investments, they added the cost to members. Should YOU blame the members?

Oh boy... don't think I can be bent over any further... it costs me 400 bucks a month right now to insure just my wife. Doesn't include vision or dental. Both of which she needs. Had to go to the doctor for a single kidney stone. Currently looking at 800+ bucks worth of bills and still counting.
