Report: California soldiers must repay enlistment bonuses

OTAG in Sacramento is so ate up and always has been, from my time as Asst Ops NCO (full time) for 3rd Bde in San Jose '89-'95, things like refusing to implement ATRRS(the old boy network refused to give up their power) and so much other crap

I read about this yesterday. It certainly does not seem like the right thing to do. However, some of the testimonials described lack of knowledge on the part of the Soldiers. Not that this is their fault by any means but all reenlistment bonuses are outlined in MILPER messages and in the Retention Program. Unfortunately, senior leaders in their unit promised them money that was not approved. Always keep copies!
