IMHO, a Trump presidency could have a profound impact on the long held tradition of comedians skewering politicians, especially presidents. With the reputation of lashing out at anyone that mocks him and using litigation as a weapon (he attempted to sued Bill Maher for 5 million dollars) would President Trump attempt to use the FCC to silence his critics?

I think it's a great sign of maturity & thick skin, to be able to laugh along when you are being made fun of. Reagan, Bill Clinton, and both Bushes could laugh and shrug off the barbs thrown their way. I think both candidates this year lack that maturity. It is just another example of the poor hand we've dealt ourselves this election. However, I'd say the 1st amendment will continue to protect the press, and individual free speech regarding making fun of the president.
