Is there a subsidy of biofuels in the USA? If so, read how the cost/benefit is not worth it if biofuel cost way too much to make a small dent in carbon emissions. Sounds like the good idea fairy is doing well in Canada and costing a bundle in the process. What, me worry?

My understanding of this has always been the program was pushed through by midwest senators to subsidize the farmers,showing the power of senators from lightly populated states. The others accommodated them because although pretty much useless in saving the environment, the cost was not to great in the big picture and the taxpayers could easily carry the load at the pumps.

This is true with an additional caveat... mostly we use corn for ethanol... anybody notice what this did to the world price on corn? Anybody notice the ripple effect on other corn-based or corn-fed food stuffs? Libtards NEVER think shit through!
