Yes, Jan 6th can be added to the falsehoods listed earlier. Another embarrassment from the obiden administration.

Public leadership is hard, thankless and exposing. To have done it with dignity and poise in the face of a constant onslaught of your failures and shortfalls is admirable on so many levels.

LTC (Join to see) - MAJ everyone has a right to speak what's on their minds. But they way we speak may show our ignorance about the subject matter. As you can see for yourself I shoot 155's and the old 175's mechanized Guns, and there pretty big ones too. The point I'm trying to convey is that to each his or her own. We all have to make choices that we may not like, but once the decision is made we stand by our decision. No matter what. The Art of War, Sun Zu.

CWO3 (Join to see) - Once a decision is made, it is not set in stone. We are thinking creatures, and our opinions can evolve and our decisions can change.

I was homophobic until I went to law school. I believed in God until I learned about the holocaust. I was against immigration reform until I learned how dysfunctional our system is.

Some opinions change with age and maturity. I used to hate asparagus, now it is my favorite vegetable. Some opinions change with education or experience. Some change with more information.

So no, we do not stand by our decision, no matter what. I decided in 1980 that I'd like to be a Republican, and on my 18th birthday registered as one. I abandoned and changed that decision in 1992.

MAJ Andrew Fishkin,
Sir, I hope you know that I am not saying that I agree with that idiot, I don't. You President Obama was born and raised in the same Islands as I but as someone born before Hawaii became a State. I don't like any politicians period. You know at one time in my life I had the honor of meeting with Senators and Congressman. But those days are gone. One is still in jail the other is gone. One had been awarded the Navy Cross, the other the Medal of Honor. I will respect others who will respect the same way towards humanity. We have a complete failure to communicate to our society and to our politicians. The best we can hope for is when something happens for the betterment of our Nation and our planet.
I still have the warrior instinct and always will.
Semper Fidelis,
Gunner Kaupe

COL Fleming, Agree totally with what you’re saying, but Leadership in all aspects comes with the great responsibility and accountably and to be held by what they do and say.

Here is how they (The Atlantic) close their endorsement. Not so much praise for Clinton or the Democratic party as a scathing rebuke of Trump and all that he represents.

Again, I wholeheartedly agree. This is NOT an election of choice between equal representatives of merely different ideologies, but a shocking and glaring choice between a candidate (Clinton) and an unmitigated disaster (Trump).

Here is the quote...

"If Hillary Clinton were facing Mitt Romney, or John McCain, or George W. Bush, or, for that matter, any of the leading candidates Trump vanquished in the Republican primaries, we would not have contemplated making this endorsement. We believe in American democracy, in which individuals from various parties of different ideological stripes can advance their ideas and compete for the affection of voters. But Trump is not a man of ideas. He is a demagogue, a xenophobe, a sexist, a know-nothing, and a liar. He is spectacularly unfit for office, and voters—the statesmen and thinkers of the ballot box—should act in defense of American democracy and elect his opponent."

Marie Mainardi - Who cares about his taxes ? The truth of the matter is he is UNFIT to lead this country ! Too many have their heads in a hole in the ground so they can't see ALL of the reasons he is unqualified. They DON'T WANT TO SEE ! It is NOT aabout Republican vs. Democrat, it's about what's RIGHT FOR AMERICA ! The racist element in OUR COUNTRY are so butt hurt over having a Black man be president that they have pulled out ALL stops to elect a WOMEN Hating, bigoted, CROOKED BUSINESSMAN who has a ZERO record of public service or ANY OTHER TYPE of service to our country. He serves HIMSELF !

Hear, hear. Someone with the common sense and knowledge is finally telling everyone who or what the current POTUS is and what he’s actually doing.

Marie Mainardi - They should be. If I’m required to pay my Federal and State Taxes and the Government knows how I support my family and myself I think that every political party and their leaders should do the same.
