I know that... last year my first Knee replacement cost almost $5200... and this Year the second Knee , because if BHOCare..., it Cost ... so far ... $6800 out of Pocket...

Sorry to hear that, but exactly my point. My wife had cancer surgery a few years back and we had zero out of pocket expense on bills of over $750K. TRICARE supplement cost around $100/mo for a family, but in your case you would still have saved $5600. Well worth the cost of supplemental coverage.

The only thing I would add is, if your job has medical/dental, you may not need supplemental coverage. That happened to me and there was no choice but take it. No sense paying twice.

Every circumstance is different but if you are eligible for TRICARE it's going to be way cheaper than an employee health insurance plan. Using TRICARE as a supplement to employee healthcare seems very expensive in my experience.
