This is why there are so many NGOs that serve vets such as The Soldier's Project, http://www.thesoldiersproject.org and our own Sponsor a Vet Life ( COL Mikel J. Burroughs )

A man or woman reaching out for help will give up on life over failures like this but we can easily throw away $160 billion on a dangerous and faulty F35 JSF jet but not spend a little money to hire a few 24 hour staff to mitigate suicides.

Once again the VA shows how little regard for vets it has. The issue is not more money, or more call centers, or more staffing, the issue in all of these stories comes down to people that need to be FIRED!!!!! You can not fix the system while still having this kind of corrupting influence with in it. Mr. McDonald said " you cant fire your way to excellence"

Let me throw another analogy at you Mr. McDonald, "You cant grow a garden in a patch of weeds!!!" if that is not clear enough then how about I simplify it. "Terminate the bad employees and leadership so the positive members can do their jobs and not be dragged down into the mediocrity that has become the VA, Improve the system by removing that which has no interest in making it great"

Just my two cents on the matter.
