"a Wells Fargo spokeswoman said: "We do not tolerate retaliation against team members who report their concerns in good faith." She emphasized that employees are encouraged to immediately report unethical behavior to their manager, HR representative or 24-hour ethics line."
Well that was proven to be a lie!

Yeppers, they got rid of those willing to speak their minds. My next call: the SEC. They were not loyal to me, the I am not loyal to you.

It shows the true nature of Wells Fargo. I'd quit doing business with them on principle.

I do my banking at a credit union. However, I don't think it is only Wells Fargo. We found similar types of unethical behavior in the financial institutions primarily responsible for for the 2008 recession. They walked away from seriously damaging the world economy personally very wealthy there too. This happens over and over again, there are huge incentives for doing it, and the people who profit the most and have the most ability to control if it happens are never held to account.
White collar crime pays, it pays very handsomely and apparently there is very little risk for the people on top of the pyramid.
