Not sure how I feel about this on a certain level as the implications for future Presidential runs and maybe even how the American people think of our Military may have to get a second look and some serious questions asked. No matter which candidate they support, I disagree with this as it is counter to the A-Politcal aspect of our military- unless one of them would be running for office; then that would be different for the particular individual him/herself.

Everything has become politicized. That appears to be even the case with the armed forces. The military has been used as a political and social experiment lab and some will even tell you, at senior levels, there are political considerations at play. It is not good. The armed forces has enjoyed high levels of popularity and respect for decades. Being dragged into the political fray will not bode well for it's long term view in most American's eyes.
