Here's the Wikipedia page...trust me, it's on Netflix, I needed some time to get engrossed in it, however, once I did, it positively blew my socks off, honest....

Really...that's really interesting, honest, I actually found the film plot and historical aspect quite absorbing...had you ever run across the story before at all? I'd be really curious to know your thoughts about its historical level of.accuracy, so far as you might be able to elaborate at all...I must admit, that was pretty neat, you recognizing them in that fashion, definitely good-oh....

Capt Daniel Goodman I was searching for Filipino movies on Netflix (before they added actual Filipino movies) and was surprised to see this, I thought it was a "Filipino" movie but instead a Philippine history movie!

Capt Daniel Goodman I personally did not hear or learn about this story while growing up but does not mean it didn't happen. This kind of story would be considered part of the local history of that town as mine had it's own (Spanish/Japanese/American rule history) that not everybody gets to study in school. I do believe this possibly happened because of the other names and timelines they had mentioned.

Capt Daniel Goodman..... The best way to check would be to look up that town where they were holed up and I'm pretty sure the residents would know and would proudly tell their history...

Many of the Filipino elite have a lot of Spanish blood in them.

Apparently my dad befriended a Filipino billionaire ($). The tycoon proposed that I marry one of rich and pretty daughters and my father never told me. Capt Daniel Goodman
