You got to be kidding.
Why don't you just make it a bare knuckle brawl? Just because you feel that "the system is rigged" doesn't mean that you should exclude the moderators which are the closest things to referees you'll get in a debate.
If you want it to be "fair", don't have it in front of an audience. Make it an actual debate instead of another form of entertainment.

100% there. These aren't debates anymore they're discussions where the loudest one usually wins.

Oxford style debate with opening statements, a middle section where the candidates can spar and the moderator can ask questions and a final section with closing statements. No gotcha grandstanding questions from the moderators (Instant fact checking allowed). Force the candidates to stick to their platforms and policy rebuttals rather than ad hominems against the other candidate.
That's what they should be. What we're going to get will be something else entirely...a lot of hot air and "Hey look! The person over there is terrible!"

I kinda like that idea- would also like to see the brawl. That's just me though.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - Gotta find something to laugh about this election season. I am tired of voting for the lessor of two evils- I tell all of my kids that apathy towards the voting process has brought us to where we are today, low information voters make it feel like the world is ending, and politicians feel we are here to server them...not the other way around.
