I think Lauer got a dose of reality with Hillary. He asked her not to attack Trump. She promised she wouldn't and then proceeded to do so. So it was Hillary who opened the door. Why would Lauer then muzzle Trump with the same promise? Shouldn't Trump have the same chance as Hillary?

lauer's bias is well documented. He will never attack the left the same way he attacks or disrespects anyone who doesn't agree with him.

Cpl (Join to see) then why did Lauer use almost a third of Hillary's time talking about the email controversy? If he were biased against the left, he would have slow pitched Hillary questions instead of harping on that one topic, unlike what he did to Trump

SSG Michael Hartsfield - I think that Cpl (Join to see) is confusing Lauer with someone with a brain. Lauer's ballywick is soft news where he hasn't really been involved in ideological controversy, at least not for a long time. Still, he did a pretty good job of holding Hillary's feet to the fire on the email issue and Trump's on the experience and "loose lips" issues.

Michael, the email issue is one that affects the military in a very real way. There are CONVICTED troops who did much less than she. She even contritely admitted it in the beginning of the interview, it just hasn't been taken to trial, period.

SSG Michael Hartsfield I believe that this satire, from the Bush Jr Era, still sums up perfectly all that is wrong with the media during an election cycle, and politicians in general. Directly to last night's... event? it was not a debate. It was supposed to be an open forum with free flowing ideas. The problem with the candidates is that the only thing flowing from either of them is bullshit.
