America has changed, dramatically changed. The America we live in today looks nothing like the one I was born into just 73 years ago. Even that America was dramatically changed before I arrived. It's not just the Constitution that has changed. The culture has changed. The infrastructure has changed. The economy has changed. Most important of all, the language has changed and that change has had the most significant of all. The simple language of the Constitution has suffered and our nation has suffered for it. The progressives has altered the meanings of the words until our liberties look nothing like they once did. No, they weren't able to change the words. They didn't have to. They simply changed its meaning.

True and great view CPT Jack Durish I am a 60s kid and life is much different now as well. Hell my kids wouldn't know how to turn a non-remote TV on- or tell time with out the digital readout on the microwave without me stressing they learn. Two simple ideas expressing a huge change. And you are thinking we played outside...and previous generation would state we worked the farm. Amazing how fast we watered down our lives and culture.

great article showing how far we've come in political debate/discussions. They actually proposed a constitutional amendment to ban anyone from public office who had been in a duel. I wonder if they were guilty until proven innocent?

Maj Marty Hogan - I think they were looking for a root cause analysis. If we ban "heavy drunkenness" we'll likely decrease the dueling. Or at least make them even worse shots.

MAJ Charles Blake Funny to see what happened in each generation that would lead to total ruin and damnation.
