Well this player has started a debate about our rights as citizens. While I disagree with #7 about his method I will agree that he has a right to do this. The first amendment also protects those whose speech you don't want to hear.

I also tell people that if you best argument is, "its my right" then you probably shouldn't say it...
MSG Jay Jackson
How true that is MAJ Blake. But # 7 will pay a price. Things have a way of working out.

I'm not sure I understand your question. WB were protesting military funerals, the cops were there to prevent their death/protect their physical safety. That's their job.
Cops are hired by local events like concerts, stadium events even local restaurants for security. If they choose to not take an extra job I don't see the connection.

I guess it was my lack of knowledge Sir, my understanding was that the Police protected stadiums at the cost of taxpayers since it's a large event, and the police guarded the westboro at the cost of.... well westboro since it's a small group of people. We've had an event in my town and the westboro showed up and had a police barricade in front of them

SPC(P) (Join to see) - no worries, that's why I asked! For entertainment events, the police are hired as an extra job; Off Duty Employment. They refused to hire on to provide security for a singer a few months back too.
I doubt any LEO attend the WB Baptist church...

SCPO (Join to see) - Working in restaurants in Dallas off 35/Restaurant Row they hired DPD for off duty security. That was the first time I'd had positive encounters with the Police. I got to see them as real people with a very difficult job to do.
SCPO (Join to see)
I worked near there at the new DEA Dallas Field Division...know it well. I worked with many DPD over the years. Good people, mostly...always a bad apple here and there.

Since his NFL career is not doing so well he should go where he can make a difference and actually become a cop on a department that he has these concerns as many of these people
Who think they know but don't know crap.
