I'm not sorry. I side with he blue line on this one. Yes there are cops that are bad but let's face it there are some military people we know that weren't on the up and up either. No matter what though you can't judge the whole group by the actions of few.

Fortunately, the military at least *USUALLY* has the integrity to toss the bad apples out of the barrel. I highlight "usually" because sometimes those bad apples are at the bottom of the barrel and thus harder to reach (senior NCOs and officers).

SSG (Join to see) - I certainly think the bad cops should be culled from the ranks and think police leadership does a pretty good job of it. The problem (similar to getting rid of bad teachers) is that the unions have a lot of power to block/delay such actions. The military does not have to worry about that... Makes it so much easier.

What are you talking about? You can't punish an entire group for the actions of few. No matter the group. Cops, whites, blacks, Hispanics, plumbers, railroad workers..... On and on you get the point. Another persons actions do not reflect mine or yours for that matter. Yes our country is in desperate need of guidance right now and that is a huge problem but he is no better than a racist cop who thinks all black people are bad, he is wearing those socks making fun of cops and yes maybe it's a joke but not after the comments he has made.

I haven't said he's a bad person. He has every right to protest, there are better ways he could do it. But he has every right to do it the way he sees fit. And I side with the cops, because they keep me safe while I do my job.

I honestly don't see any legitimate reason to get mad over a mans socks. If this is newsworthy then the art of journalism is dead.

It is not just his socks. His socks would not have entered the lime light without his disrespect for the National Symbol that allowed him to climb the fiscal ladder to such opulent heights. I suspect each of us realize that our nation is far from perfect. Which nation is a better place to live? Which nation has perfect Law Enforcers? Does one exist that does not have pockets of discrimination and oppression? I'm not simply making excuses, just shining light upon reality.
