All that nonsense makes sense if you are trying to get the Republican nomination, it doesn't make sense if your trying to win a general election though...

Most politicians, you listen to them and hope they mean what they say (they usually don't). Trump is the only politician I can think of that you listen to and hope he doesn't actually mean anything he's saying.

Amazing. I saw where as much as 50% of Republican voters think President Obama is a Muslim. Absolutely ridiculous.

I think the article in Salon today said the number was closer to 75%.

Most Americans (not just Republicans) will believe whatever you tell them, as long as it's what they want to believe. So "news" organizations tell people what they want to hear and sell their viewers to advertisers.

I'm not sure exactly when it happened, but I'm pretty sure I must have passed a sign at some point that said: "Abandon hope all ye who enter here."

Even worse. Trump and his birtherism fueled this. Many leaders, except John McCain, refused to correct this nonsense.
