People loving their fellow man, housing the homeless, feeding the hungry, it's almost enough to give you hope.

Sound like pretty much like what Christ was talking about.

I don't have any faith, but I do appreciate all groups that help in this crisis and push back on the hate-speech of the anti-immigrant right and fueled by the hateful rhetoric of Donald Trump. Catholic Charities has done more good work for immigrants in this country than just about any organization I know. I am proud to work with them and other faith and non-faith groups helping those who flee from terror.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I'm a big fan of theirs, and a donor. CC is the ONLY faith-based organization I ever give money to, mostly on account of the local Monsignor where I live who promises me that every penny I give goes to food and clothes for victims of domestic violence and their children. I don't think I'm the only one he makes such accommodations for.

When he gets particularly compelling refugee cases he tells them to go see his atheist friend, then calls me and asks how much he needs to contribute for the case. My answer is always the same, that I'll donate all of the legal fees if he pays government filing fees and reimburses my travel costs for the trial. Usually thats about $800 donated by CC, and about $14,000 worth of work on an asylum of VOWA (Violence Against Women Act) case that donate.

CC cases are always properly vetted, and are always an honor and a pleasure to handle.
