PO1 John Miller - I know how he feels though. We recently got told that we will no longer be issued our boots because "we are issued a pair in tech school and given a clothing allowance every year". Even though my career field specifically states that we have to have steel toe which are about 40 bucks more expensive. However, there is no word on them giving us an extra allotment for that requirement. Meanwhile.... they feel it necessary to spend more money designing different uniforms for all the branches. Why don't they just stick with the one and move on to something more important.

If they completely got rid of Sailors wearing Camouflage Uniforms all together I would be happy. When I was in the only Sailors wearing Camouflage were Seals, Seabees and Corpsman attached to Marines.

The problem is that the Navy is doing more JTF missions all over the world and on the ground that need a BDU style uniform. The last number between NSW/NECC and some other small units was around 100,000 personnel that would be in that unifrom most of their career. The other thing is you have fleet types that will go back and fourth in NECC commands, so in the and I feel this is the correct course of action. The uniform looks good and is a good uniform for shore duty and shore deployed commands.

CPO (Join to see) - I know, I'm sure it is an excellent Idea but this is my Old Fogey thing "I remember way back when during the Great War, In My Day" LOL!

Your rate is one of those irregular warfare rates that is serving all over the world not just on ships...

CPO (Join to see) - I know not of what you speak Chief *SARCASM MUCH* Yeah I was doing Tactical Intelligence at the end of my Career. I much prefer collecting intel half a world away than Sitting off Busehr Iran (They really were not fond of us watching them that close).

honestly I hate this look. I'm an OLD Salt. To me Jean pants and shirt is the only work uniform needed. I still have mine from 1976. Blue Jeans and a blue jean shirt

I wasn't in the Navy, but wearing denim jeans and a denim shirt used to be favorite look. I still like denim shirts, PO2 Mark Saffell.
