I was a little unsure of this process, but it really works! Apparently, I have some individuals in my squadron who are really bored and they go snooping through other individuals personnel folders on the drive. Not that I had shady things in my folder, but I had some documents that were not necessarily for just anyone to read. At the time, I did not know about hiding folders or how to password protect. But now I do!

Proper use of sharing and NTFS permissions should be used by administrators so that such steps are not needed as PO1 Andrew Gardiner stated. It can be taken to another level with digital certificates which can be assigned to both the end user and the computer. Really in this day and age it is needed. With certificate services even if someone gain access to a document that they are not a member of that security group it will be encrypted. No excuse for poor administration on any domain, ever.
