Everyone has their opinion and the right to voice it - one of the byproducts of our chosen profession. Something like this is an attack when its unprovoked - I don't consider displaying a bumper sticker provocative - against a single individual and is uncalled for. It's also scary. could this woman know the person, could this escalate? Most likely some person had a bad day and that's all it was.

Maj Petrarca, I just posted the letter. Bad day or not, I wouldn't threaten to slice someone's tires over a bumper sticker. Like you said, everyone has their right to their opinion. But that crosses the line when you threaten someone for it.

I just edited my comment, I meant to say unprovoked, not unproven. Yes you are both right on Col (Join to see) and SSgt (Join to see) why even make those types of threats? This reminds me of that off the wall minister and his followers disrupting military funerals and processions with their vile propoganda.

They certainly do. At least if you are in a war whether it be a war of words, in most cases, or even unfriendly exchange of ideas by the exchange of gunfire, you at least have an idea of who you are battling with. This is just pure chicken shit on behalf of the author of the note.
