'Ours Is A Sacrifice You Will Never Know': Gold Star Family Members Demand Apology from Trump

This is such blown out of proportion. The Khan family appeared on the DNC stage with many things to say about Trump. Trump had: (in a statement released Saturday by his campaign, called Capt. Khan "a hero to our country and we should honor all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country safe.") The whole Khan Family argument is baseless to begin with. The point was to contrast that Trump proposed ban on Muslims*** may have prevented their son from entering the US. The Khan Family immigrated to the US in the 70's and their son about 12years ago. Trump's comments were more recent.

***Trump during an interview has been asked about Syrian refugees and he replied as humanitarian aid sure. Then during another interview he was baited with the figure that President Obama anticipates for expected refugees, in which he was against. Trump then made a statement at his primary rally that he is calling for a temporary ban on all Muslims and brought a lot of attention to the subject. He then back peddled some of his statement, narrowing down to countries that have no appropriate documentation and such.

I don't feel an apology is going to change anybody's view of him and it's not going to make what he said right. I feel the man was baited and blasted into this trap. That being said, there was no down play on the sacrifice here, if anything trump was attacking the culture and practice of Muslim and sharia, which finds no place in American culture and our laws and freedoms. None of this is any shock to anyone who had been following trump all along. Nor does this make it right, but once again, media spins trump into a monster, had I been been unprovoked backed into a corner I would show my teeth too, and wouldn't renege and show weakness as dems have expected anyone who's "crossed a line" in the past.
The captain was sacrificed and is a hero, saved American lives and did what any citizen should do, most wouldn't have. My heart is out to his family for the loss they're clearly still grieving, America lost a great man. I don't want my words misread here. But we are continually reading criticism of the lesser of two evils here, trump insulted a survivor, HRC sacrificed Americans with her indecision and lies, then covered up and lied to the families, is this what you see being an American leader?

I can not imagine the pain of losing a child. I could not sell their sacrifice on the alter of politics. He held up a copy of the constitution. Where does Obama get the authority to ignore laws, kill 16 yo American citizens with out due process? The man said fences don't work while behind the fences and barriers at the DNC used to control people and keep order! Germany is coming apart at the seams over violence due to Muslim immigrants. The wife of the San Bernardino shooter and co murderer was vetted by the state department. We need to get a handle on who is coming into the US. Right now drug cartels are starting to police Mexico's Northern Border, our Southern border because it is so lawless even the ciminals are threatened. Oh we don't need to control immigration their....your a racist if you think we do. Trump should push back.
