I have had a Commander that took our company and ran our morale into the dirt so that he or she could get what he or she wanted to get accomplished in order to achieve the evaluation report he or she wanted. Then when it was all said and done and that commander got what he or she wanted their was no explanation nor gratitude for what the Commander put us threw.

I've had one CO who was like that. Those kind are only out for themselves, and how many medals and citations can get, SPC (Join to see).

Yes to this article. They may get the immediate tasks done but they cost the military more to keep. They create a toxic environment that lowers retention, causes members to get into trouble and attempt or commit suicide. They keep those with multiple reports of harassment or assault. 6 from my squadron were released from service around the same time for "physical disability" because they were involved in reporting. All of that training wasted. Money lost on injuries and destruction on and off base. And the assholes responsible are getting their retirement. And those who kissed their asses are perpetuating the cycle.
